OCA Brand Bible
Visual identity, voice, colors, UI language, and asset rules for the Offworld Compliance Agency.
OCA Brand Bible
The Offworld Compliance Agency should look calm, legitimate, overconfident, and procedurally inevitable. It is not a pirate faction and not a frontline army brand. It is the face of Earth paperwork backed by force.
Core identity
Name: Offworld Compliance Agency
Short name: OCA
Role: Earth faction, continuity regulator, warrant issuer, operator regularisation office
Public promise: Compliance is the shortest path to peace.
Actual function: Convert Earth's 10% capped economic position into warrants, bounties, faction pressure, and selective enforcement.
The OCA brand should make players feel that they are dealing with an institution that has never considered the possibility it might be illegitimate.
Logo
Primary asset: /oca/oca-seal.png
The seal combines:
- Earth at the center
- a hex-grid shell for the Sphere
- a six-point frontier geometry echoing the crown
- large OCA lettering
- an emerald compliance check
Use the seal for landing pages, warrants, officer profiles, compliance panels, and faction recruitment prompts. Avoid shrinking it below legibility; if space is tight, use a simplified OCA wordmark in text instead.
Palette
| Token | Hex | Use |
|---|---:|---|
| OCA Navy | #06264A | Primary authority color, headers, seals, official bars |
| Registry Blue | #0B63B6 | Interactive elements, highlights, active states |
| Notice Blue | #DCEBFA | Pale official backgrounds, notice paper, calm surfaces |
| Compliance Green | #0A8F58 | Approved state, regularisation window, checkmark accent |
| Paper White | #F7FAFD | Forms, public notices, official document surfaces |
| Ink Black | #111827 | Body text on light OCA surfaces |
| Warning Amber | #B7791F | Pending review, expired permit, contested filing |
| Enforcement Red | #B42318 | Active warrant, hostile designation, seizure notice |
Blue and white should dominate. Green is an accent, not the brand's main personality.
Typography
The OCA should use system sans-serif typography in product surfaces. The voice is legible and institutional, not decorative.
Recommended hierarchy:
- Headings: semibold, tight but not compressed
- Labels: uppercase, tracked, small
- Body: plain sentence case
- Codes: monospace for warrants, permits, and directives
Voice
OCA copy should be bureaucratic, specific, and faintly threatening.
Good:
Compliance status: deficientVoluntary regularisation remains availablePermit OCA-17B not foundUnauthorized sovereignty formation under continuity reviewAdministrative seizure warrant pending treasury allocationRegistered operator status confirmed
Avoid:
- slang
- jokes from the OCA itself
- open villain language
- military hype
- mystical claims about destiny or the crown
The humor comes from the gap between the OCA's official tone and the player's ability to ignore it.
UI rules
Compliance warnings must not hard-block base game actions. They should create visible consequences and clear alternatives.
Use action pairs:
Submit Filing/Launch AnywayRequest Permit/Ignore DirectiveAccept Regularisation/Remain NoncompliantPay Compliance Dues/Route Off-LedgerEscort Inspectors/Bribe Officer
Display OCA state as a status layer:
- compliant
- deficient
- under review
- warrant active
- regularisation offered
- enforcement funded
Landing Page Tone
The OCA landing page should read like a public government site that has been adapted for a lawless megastructure. It should be clean, official, and restrained. Public OCA surfaces should presume authority: compliance is presented as mandatory, regularisation is presented as the orderly path, and enforcement is presented as the expected consequence of deficiency.
Use official membership terms such as registered operator, compliant member, regularised participant, authorized contractor, or Earth continuity participant.
Mission statement:
Restore lawful continuity across every sector of the Sphere.
Public slogan:
Compliance is the shortest path to peace.
Faction threat:
Join compliance or face enforcement.
Asset Guidance
Use:
- clean agency seals
- forms, notices, stamps, status panels
- Earth, orbital rings, hex grids, crown-adjacent geometry
- calm blue-white layouts with green approval accents
Avoid:
- real-world national symbols
- skulls, eagles, weapons, flames, or war propaganda
- neon hacker aesthetics
- religious iconography
- dark-only screens that make OCA feel like another underworld faction
Generated Logo Prompt
The initial seal was generated with the built-in image tool using a vector-friendly logo prompt: an austere interplanetary regulator seal for the Offworld Compliance Agency, with Earth, hexagonal Dyson-sphere geometry, a subtle crown/frontier motif, blue and white institutional colors, and a restrained emerald compliance accent.
